I spoke with the church secretary at 1st Presbyterian in the village of Wappingers last night. She said we can have any meetings we'd like there. They won't charge us to use the space, although I suggested we'd make a nominal donation for use of the space.
They have two large meeting spaces: an auditorium with a stage and another large meeting room downstairs. They also have several smaller rooms. She suggested that Saturdays are better than Sundays as far as availability because a Hispanic church uses much of the building on Sunday afternoon/evening.
To book a space, I just need to give her 1-2 weeks advance notice and she will put us on the calendar.

Power was definitely still out at 7PM. I have to go by there tomorrow morning around 8AM, so I'll post again after that with status.

Ok, the dining room area in the basement is scheduled for Saturday Feb 27th 11AM - 5PM. There's no one else scheduled for that day, so we don't necessarily have to stick to the start & end times.

I have stuff on the first weekend of March (March 6), so Feb 20th, 27th or March 13th are better for me.

If one of our more artisticly inclined types would care to punch up a design that is easily one-color screen printed, I could pre-make the screen, and bring my press/heat gun.
I could then go on to print whatever that art is (or let other squidwrenchers do it) on a t-shirt/bag/hoodie/tuxedo that they bring with them.
Very cool. Maybe we could have a little expo around the first weekend in March. That would give us a little time to plan and get things together. Would anybody else be interested in that?
