In #mhvlug this afternoon, sdague suggested having themes for our meetings. It would give potential visitors a reason to come check out a meeting, since they would know a bit about what was going on before they arrived. It might also give us some focus and ideas for larger events or alternate groups.
The themes don't have to be very specific, either. Here are some ideas in my head right now:
- "Fabrication Night" - we each construct something with our materials of choice
- "Arduino After Hours" - we each bring our 'duino and work on some project with it
- "Wireless Witching Hour" - any project involving a radio
We could start by theming one meeting a month and go from there. What do you think?
