Update: Amanda and I will probably be there for a few hours closer to opening.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, got ppl from out of town coming to hang out & see the rail bridge, etc. Sounds like fun though.
A competition indeed! The official challenge is this: Show up at the Stormville Fleamarket on Saturday with some combination of $20-50 and barterable items. Spend as much time and energy as you need to trade those dollars and random thingies for the parts and tools you need to build your Tower of Ultimate Awesome. What that really means is construct anything you can pull off. If it's a sculpture, go for it. If it's a robot, rock on. If it's an EMP gun that takes out half of Poughkeepsie, we didn't know anything about it even if you won.
Points will be awarded for the following:
If you're interested in participating, please speak up. I have room in my car for up to 5 (though 4 would be much more comfortable), so let me know if you'd like to carpool. If you attend, try to bring a camera. Judging will most likely occur at a weekly meeting.
