Who wants to get together for an 5 hour Kinect figure it out session? Location TBD.
I am willing to do some research and put together some Youtubes and tutorials for us to play with. I will even bring food of the sugar-full variety.
Kinects cost $150 brand new and I've seen them on Craigslist for as little as $70. There is both open source free software and currently Microsoft is offering their SDK for free. For the workshop to be productive, participants would need to own their own.

Android Development Day, December 17th 11-4 (or suggest other time), please bring a phone, cable and computer.
Where are we having it? We can do it at my place in Kingston, or if someone has a better, more central place that works too.
One suggestion is Panera bread in Poughkeepsie, they have a back room we could go in.

Also- I vote to keep the meeting 100% participatory ... meaning, bring your gear!
