Projects for 2013

One of the things that wasn mentioned at Tuesday's meeting was coming up with things we personally wanted to work on, so here's my list, in no order in particular:

  1. Finish calibrating printrbot, and start using it for . . . not sure what, yet.
  2. Finish changes to pyComicMetaThis.py, publish on github
  3. pyHunter, publish on github
  4. pyComicsDownloader
  5. I should be getting an R10 quadrocopter in a few months (http://www.uair.co/); I want to do some interesting photographic things with it
  6. Also getting some digisparks (http://digistump.com/#digispark); need to figure out what I want to do with those
  7. Be more involved with SquidWrench; as I mentioned at Tuesday's meeting, my work schedule tends to interfere with most of your meetings.  I'll see what I can figure out.
  8. ...
  9. Profit!  (Yes, been done to death, and this is the wrong number of things anyway).

Anyone else?

Re: Projects for 2013

I have a few things I'd like to do this year but most are abstract; they're just excuses to play with certain technologies or fabrication techniques.

  1. Build a radio transceiver usable by a microcontroller
  2. Build anything interactive (buttons, capsense, weight sense, whatever)
  3. Find an excuse to vacuum form anything
  4. Build a Cyr Wheel
  5. More blinkenlights (possibly combine this with 2?)

Of course, that doesn't include anything that directly benefits sqwr, like updating the website, filling the calendar with events/speakers/workshops, or finding a space.

Oh, and a little profit would be nice.
