Nook question

Hello-
At the last couple of meetings I saw a Nook (or similar) for the first time- pretty cool.
I would like to use it to look at data sheets. Normally I write all over these with my notes.
Can you use Adobe pdf full version to edit your documents? Or is there some other software to do the same?
