Looks like fun to me. I was wondering when we might see one nearby.

They are running a special for a one year subscription to Make magazine and one single day pass for $35 for those not already subscribed.
Not sure if its worth buying just the day pass or the weekend pass. I've never been to one of these so I don't know if there is a "schedule" or if its just an expo floor.
Last year (NYC) I saw everything in one day. There is somewhat of a schedule. I missed the electronic fashion show because I was watching Jet Ponies (a swing ride powered by jet fuel- dangerous!). Aside- look up Madagascar Institute or google Jet Ponies - crazy engineering.
There is a parade, which happens at the end of the day. Some other things happen every couple of hours. Makers showing their projects is all day both days. Walk-around exhibits happen when you bump into them. The schedule will be posted ahead of time and you can buy tickets "at the door". Since it's mostly outside, buying at the door is my vote. No clue if they have rain date.
I am exhibiting at Maker Faire next month (May 21 & 22)in San Francisco! Super excited!! I am Maker #5412.

Cool. What're you exhibiting?
I'm showing 2 radiation detector pieces that I made last year- they pick up background radiation and display it as sound and light. It will be interesting to see if there is more radiation on the West coast than the East coast.
I'm hoping also to finish and bring a new piece, an RGB LED controller that controls lighting shaped like ears.
I just started blogging about the new project at www.mix-engineering.com
