Highland Bed Race and other Spring Activities

Highland is currently planning their "Spring Fest" for May 11th. I have a few ideas for ways we could participate:

1. We could hold an Expo. Similar to the first couple saturday events, we could have sandblast glass etching, a soldering workshop, and a demolition/deconstruction area. If we do this, I'd like to do one in April, kind of as practice.
2. We could participate in the Bed Race. I think this is an especially good idea, mostly because it sounds like fun. It would also be a good way to really make Squidwrench feel like part of the neighborhood. You can find out more about it here (pdf).
3. We could volunteer to help keep things running smoothly. I don't know exactly what this would entail but I imagine it would entail a bunch of walking around and maybe carrying a few things. If you volunteer to help and the town doesn't give you a walkie-talkie, Squidwrench will. Radios are cool.

Edit: The Bed Race requires a person team and a $50 registration, so we should get started on that as soon as possible if anyone is interested. Anyone can help with the construction, even if you're not on the team.
