ADD XI is coming up this weekend, and we've been discussing work on a larger group project to steer our focus. We'll be meeting this Friday to talk about what projects we'd like to consider and generally toss around some ideas. If you're interested in ADD and in working on the group project, check the calendar for the time and location of that. This is your chance to get some very early stage input.
Starting tonight our Weekly Doings will be held in Highland, at Studio 81. This is a pretty cool space, and will only get better as we bring our tools, projects, and ideas to the space. I met some people from the town events committee last night night, and I think we're going to get along and fit in well with the town. I would like to discuss some of our ideas for upcoming events at tonight's meeting so that we can really get moving and start building up our calendar and our roster.
The roads around Vassar are in pretty good shape, so ADD is happening. If you can make it out, we'll be happy to see you. Be safe and happy hacking!
Keep your eye on the approaching storm. I'm not sure how it will impact most of us, so I'm not cancelling this yet. Do be careful, though, and don't take any unnecessary risks. I will still try to make it, but there WILL be another ADD. If it comes to it, we might try for the 23rd as a snow-date so check back for updates.
We've talked several times about coordinating a ham radio class with the local group. They're running a free class, so I'm passing the information along. According to Joe:
I've added the tenth installment of Android Development Day to the calendar. Check it out here.
Need to build some skills to help you survive the Robot/Pirate/Zombie/Ninja Apocalypse? Looking to be able to make valuable things for barter when everything goes to hell? Squidwrench is here to help you prepare for that! We're kicking off our 2013 Apocalypse series this Sunday with the first round of Homebrewing education. Check out the event here.
I just posted ADD7 on the calendar. Mark it on yours and spread the word.
Don't forget, the sixth installment of Android Development Day is happening tomorrow. If you don't have your own project, come out and help get an Android app interfacing with our REST server or cheer us on!
Our friends at slashRoot will be hosting us for another workshop. This time we'll be doing an introduction to the Arduino and helping anyone who's interested get started. Check out the event info here.
